I ROCK OUT TO… FT RACHAEL FROM MARRY ME INK

Hello!

Welcome to the second of our ‘OUR ROCK OUT TO’ interviews, where we pick the musical brains of the coolest cats in the wedding industry. Today we’re talking to Rachael from  Marry Me Ink  – a super cool wedding blog dedicated to the decorated bride.

*

INTRODUCE YOURSELF PLEASE.. WHO ARE YOU?
Hello! I’m Rachael, 22, from (near) Manchester, (fake) ginger and a HUGE fan of tattoos, especially on the ladies.

I work full time in a pharmacy but I love to share the love for tattooed ladies on my tattooed bride blog – Marry Me Ink.

I do a selective taste in music and constantly told “We always listen to your crap” when I’m getting ready a playlist for journeys. This is from Rob my OH who I’ve been with for just over a year.

I’m a huge fan of the 40s & 50s era, though I also love the 20s glitz & glamour! I try to have victory rolls in my hair at all times too.

WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE PARTY TUNE?

Lady Gaga – Bad Romance, because one of my favourite friends and myself dance to this everytime we’re together.. We know the routine back to front..

FIRST RECORD/TAPE/CD EVER PURCHASED?
Steps – Step One
Yep.. I was that cool!

WHAT WOULD THE FIRST DANCE SONG AT YOUR WEDDING BE?
Muse – Bliss

image – Lisa Jane Photography.

WHAT IS YOUR NIGHTMARE PARTY SONG?

Alphabeat – Fascination
I heard it way too many times at a birthday party once.. Back to back as well. Obviously not the best.

WHAT IS YOUR ULTIMATE SONG TO CLEAR UP A BAD MOOD?
Hadouken – Oxygen

WHAT IS YOUR ALL TIME FAVOURITE ALBUM?

OK Go -  Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE WEEPY SONG?
Many of Brandi Carlile songs I love but I wouldn’t call so much as weepy.. But I see how they can be, she is very emotional and it was so when watching her live.

TEENAGE MUSIC CRUSH?
Busted – Year 3000
I was so sad!

AND FINALLY.. WHAT SONG/ALBUM/ARTIST ARE YOU LOVING RIGHT NOW?

I’m totally up for Dry The River currently, and have been big on them for about 8months now.. Their songs are so calming!

However, their new single The Chambers And The Valves off their upcoming album was totally unexpected and had me totally hooked! (Plus the video is bloody genius!)

Lots o’ love.XX
